The objective of the "Forests, forest glades and their valleys at the Steigerwald edge near Iphofen" project is the protection of the project area (approximately 3,000 hectares) as a centre of biodiversity and as a centre for management and cultivation of the coppiced woodland.

What is Life+?

Life+ is an EU promotional programme to provide financial support for projects intended to protect the environment and Nature. Support for FFH areas and bird sanctuaries (the "Natura 2000" network) is particularly important. The project is 50% co-financed by the EU.
